Originally opened as part of the Germiston Barlows Ford and Mazda branch in 1997, Subaru Johannesburg has a long history with the Subaru brand. From the beginning the dealership staff were customer focused and everyone fell in love with the Subaru brand. Today we still have loyal customers who bought their first Subaru at the branch in Germiston.After a brief period with the importer and distributor, Subaru Southern Africa, at their head office in Linbro Park, Subaru Bruma moved into its first stand alone, dedicated premises in Bruma in 2004. The dealership grew and have been one of the most successful Subaru dealerships in South Africa.With the purchase of Subaru Southern Africa from Barloworld Automotive by Toyota Tsusho Africa in 2011, Subaru Bruma was acquired as well and changed it’s name to Subaru Johannesburg, indicating that the dealership will assist and service the greater Johannesburg area.

Subaru Johannesburg moved into grand new, state of the art premises in Longmeadow Business Estate in May 2014, providing the dealership with a more central location from which to serve its customers, who come from the north, south and east of Johannesburg. We even have customers coming from Sasolburg and the West Rand.Today, 21 years later there are still some of the original staff involved, but the culture of putting the customer first has remained as one of the core values.
